- Day 1
Arrival in Moshi
Airport pickup, transfer to your Moshi hotel, gear check and briefing.
- Day 2
Marangu Gate → Mandara Hut (2,720 m)
Trek through tropical rainforest — roughly 4–5 hours of walking. Overnight in mountain huts.
- Day 3
Mandara → Horombo Hut (3,720 m)
Climb through giant heather and moorland with views of Mawenzi. 5–6 hours.
- Day 4
Acclimatisation day at Horombo
Short walk to Zebra Rocks and back to aid acclimatisation. Rest and hydrate.
- Day 5
Horombo → Kibo Hut (4,700 m)
Cross the lunar 'Saddle' between Mawenzi and Kibo. Early dinner and rest for the midnight summit push.
- Day 6
Summit Day — Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) → Horombo
Midnight start to Gilman's Point for sunrise, then on to Uhuru Peak. Descend all the way to Horombo Hut.
- Day 7
Horombo → Marangu Gate → Moshi
Final descent through the rainforest, summit certificate at the gate, transfer back to Moshi.
